December 25th is celebrated as Christmas (also spelled Xmas) in many parts of the world.
This day marks the birth of Jesus Christ, the founder of Christianity.
Christians attend midnight Mass (prayer) at a church. Homes are decorated with nativity scenes. (like the one below), a decorated Xmas tree, presents, and lights.
Families usually spend this day together. There is much feasting.
