Image and Poetry by Yashasvi Anika Tandon
You might know Yashasvi as a talented EJ now. But she is also a great painter, photographer, and poet.
She has kindly shared this poem and a picture that she took on her recent train journey. (the featured image above). All other images are from pixabay.
The whistle blows, which means move on,
We can’t fret over what’s done, from dusk to dawn.
It chugs along the same path – always steady,
Tells you not to stray, and forever be ready.
A jolt, a jerk, and rattling – are all part of a train ride,
Never ever give up when you face this in real life.
Train rides are peaceful, both to soul and mind,
Do your work and everywhere, peace you will find.
A train will find distractions, scenery beautiful,
Don’t pay heed to these and keep working hard like a bull.
Everything in life has a meaning, sometimes a deep one,
You can learn from absolutely anything under the sun.
