शुभा विनायकचतुर्थी
मुदाकरात्तमोदकं सदा विमुक्तिसाधकं
कलाधरावतंसकं विलासलोकरक्षकम् |
अनायकैकनायकं विनाशितेभदैत्यकं
नताशुभाशुनाशकं नमामि तं विनायकम् ||
(I salute God Vinayaka/Ganesh)
The one who joyfully holds sweet modaka in his hand and who always gives salvation to his devotees,
The one who wears the moon as an ornament and the protector of all the worlds,
The one who acts as a guide/leader to the destitute or helpless people, the destroyer of the demons
The one who removes the bad and inauspicious things in one’s lives, I bow to you, the Deity Vinayaka!
वह जो मुदित (प्रसन्न) होकर, हाथ में मोदक रखते हैं, जो साधक (भक्त) को मुक्ति देते हैं,
जो चंद्रमा को धरण करते हैं, और सखी लोकों की रक्षा करते हैं,
जो उनके नायक हैं, जिनका कोई नायक नहीं, और जो दैत्यों के नाशक हैं,
जो जीवन से अशुभ सूचक हटाते हैं, ऐसे विनायक भगवान को, मैं प्रणाम करता/करती हूँ!
