Kissan GPT: The GPT for Indian Farmers

On March 15th, Pratik Desai announced Kissan GPT in a simple tweet.

Today, he announced the first update.

Kissan GPT is a chatbot for Indian farmers. It currently supports 9 Indian languages, English, Spanish, Portugese, Indonesian.

Since literacy is a problem in most agricultural areas, the chatbot relies on audio to both get and answer questions.

We tested the chatbot in English, Hindi, and Punjabi.

The chatbot can be accessed either on the website – https://kissangpt.com/, or as an Android app on the Google Play store.

Training Models

The training model of KissanGPT is, according to the website, ChaptGPT 3, and ChaptGPT4 will also be integrated into the product soon.

The website also mentions an original knowledge base of the company.

Our Experience

The voice recognition feature works very well. The voice of the answer is also well modulated and paced. It was easy to understand what the AI was saying.

We found that the answers were friendly, though not always well-informed.

Adding English words like horticulture in Punjabi did not work for us.

Other Products

The company also has two other solutions, one of which is directly linked to agriculture. Titodi is an online marketplace for agricultural products.
