Indian Army unfurls a 100 ft tall national flag at Gulmarg

Gulmarg, Aug 10: To commence celebrations for the 75th Independence Day of India, the army unfurled a 100 feet tall national flag in Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir. This is a popular tourist destination, and the monument adds to its charm. “The 100 feet high Indian flag marks the beginning of a new era of peace and patriotism in Kashmir. The project is jointly executed by the Indian Army and Solar Industries Pvt Ltd.”, read a statement from the Indian Army. The tallest tricolour in the country has been installed at in Belagavi in Karnataka. It is 361 feet tall and is located near the historic Belagavi Fort in Kote Kere. This is followed by the one at Attari border in Punjab (360 ft) and the one at Bhakti Shakti Chowk, Pune (351 ft).
