Aditya L1, launched on September 2, 2023, has successfully reached its final destination – the stable point between Earth and sun- called L1.
The placement needed to be very precise and is one of the most advanced placements ever attempted by ISRO.
The insertion was achieved at about 1600 hours (4 pm) India time today – January 6th, 2023.
The measurement instruments will now be switched on and tested.
Aditya L1 is expected to have a life of five years.
