Chennai, Aug 12: Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar has been ranked as the world’s best airport for 2021 on Skytrax’s annual ranking. The award is in recognition of the efforts made to meet the demands created because of the pandemic. Other airports which made it to the best are Tokyo’s Haneda Airport, Singapore’s Changi Airport, Incheon International Airport in South Korea, and Narita International Airport in Japan.
The Changi Airport lost its first position this year. But it got the award for the world’s best airport staff and the best airport staff in Asia.
Tokyo’s Haneda Airport has been named as the world’s cleanest airport.
Turkey’s Istanbul Airport has moved from 102 to 17th rank and was declared as the world’s most improved airport.
Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport has won the special Covid-19 Airport Excellence Award 2021 for following the correct guidelines during this pandemic.
