This month has been tough for the US. The weather conditions in many parts of the country are unusual for this time of the year.
There is a winter storm in the North and Mid west parts of the US. Even California, which is usually in the news for forest fires, has a winter storm and blizzard event.
Two separate winter storms hit the East and West coasts, respectively. This led to widespread power outage in many states. It also led to snowing and made it hard for people to travel or even get out of their houses.
Sierra Nevada, which is usually a dry region, also received snowfall and heavy precipitation.
