Athletics – China’s Gong Lijiao won gold in women’s shot-put final; Barshim Mutaz Essa of Quatar won men’s high jump final; Venezuela’s Rojas Yulimar won gold in women’s triple jump final; Jacobs Lamont Marcell of Italy won gold in men’s 100m final; Tentoglou Miltiadis from Greece won gold in men’s long jump final; Puerto Rico’s C.Q. Weightlifting – Ecuador’s Dajomes Barrer Neisi Patricia won gold in women’s 76kg; China’s Wang Zhouyu won gold in women’s 87kg.
Hockey – India won the men’s quarter final against Britain, semifinal to be held with Belgium; India won the women’s quarter final against Australia, semifinal to be held against Argentina.
Shooting – France’s Quiquampoix Jean won 25m rapid fire pistol men’s final; China’s Zhang Changhong won gold in 50m Rifle 3 positions men’s final.
