Thousands evacuate as Sydney faces worst flood in over 60 years

Parts of Eastern Australia recorded torrential downpour of more than 100cm on Monday forcing around 18,000 people to evacuate their homes and go to safer places. Warnings of heavy rain, damaging winds and heavy surf has been issued for the entire mainland except Western Australia.

Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) issued flood warnings for Gloucester, Manning, Bathurst, & Nambucca rivers so far and has declared it the worst flooding in over 60 years
