Delhi, Jul 28: What will the future look like?
Well, the best people to ask that to are the people who will be living in it and creating it – you, dear readers.
The Children’s Post is organising a start- up contest for 10 to 16-year-olds.
Here are the main points about the contest:
- The contest is mentored by Atal Incubation Center – Shiv Nadar University and IIM Calcutta Innovation Park.
2. One can participate individually (with an adult mentor) or as a team (at least half of the members should be in the 10-16 years age group).
3. All participants will get a Participation Certificate. All shortlisted ideas will get Advisory Services (Business Consulting services) worth ₹ 20,000 from senior industry consultants.
4. The contest will be held in 2 stages. In the first stage, the teams submit a presentation about their idea. Shortlisting will be done on the basis of this presentation. The shortlisted entries will then use the business consulting services and work on their idea. The final round will be an online presentation to a jury. Winners will be announced after this round.
5. The prizes are:
- First Prize: ₹50,000
- Second Prize: ₹25,000
- Third Prize: ₹10,000
In addition, there are category prizes that will be announced on the final day. These are surprise prizes!
The registration fee is ₹ 5000 (or equivalent if applying from outside India. No extra charge).
Children can participate from any part of the world. Any geography, any industry or sector. The idea can be for profit or non-profit (social enterprise). There is no restriction on the type of ideas that can be submitted.
