Strange Huntsman Spider Sews Leaves to Catch Big Prey

Ecologists (people who study the natural relationships between the air, land, water, plants and animals) from Germany spotted a large huntsman spider (of the Damastes genus) eating a small Madagascar reed frog. The spider was on a small tree, near a pair of overlapping leaves that was attached together with spider silk to create a packet. It creates a cool, dry, and dark place and invites prey like frogs and mouse opossums.
