One day, an old man and his wife were sitting outside their house. They were poor, but not starving. They always had a kind word for everyone and everyone in return, had a kind word for them.
On this particular day, they didn’t have a lot of flour left at home and were too weak to go to the store.
So, the old woman requested the neighbor for some flour. As luck would have it, the neighbor didn’t have enough to share either. However, she knew the old woman was a gentle soul and decided to share whatever rotis she made with her neighbor.
To the old woman she said, “Don’t worry aunty. Today I will treat you to fresh, hot rotis, not just the flour. There is enough here for everyone, and then some.”
When the time came, the neighbor sat down to make the rotis. To her surprise, she found her flour canister full! She did make the lovely rotis and shared them with the old couple, but she was puzzled. So she discussed this with her own mother-in-law.
The mother-in-law, who was a wise old woman herself, said to the daughter-in-law, “Did you not know? Every single day, for one moment, Saraswati herself visits your tongue. Whatever you say at that time, will come true. So, you must always speak of abundance, love and good things.
