El Salvador, June 1: The 2021 ISA (International Surfing Association) World Surfing Championships started at El Salvador (Central America) on 29th May and will end on 6th June. The event will be based around El Sunzal and La Bocana. The importance of this championship is that the top 12 players of this championship will qualify for the upcoming Olympics.
The key surfers that have qualified till now are: Lucca Mesinas (Peru), Ramzi Boukhiam (Morocco), and Frederico Morais (Portugal). Sally Fitzgibbons (Australia), Tatiana Weston-Webb (Brazil), Brisa Hennessy (Costa Rica), and Daniella Rosas (Peru), are key women surfers vying for qualification into Olympics. Expectedly, all of them secured first place during their respective preliminary rounds.
