Tokyo, Aug 28: Here is an update of India’s performance on day 4 of the Tokyo Summer Paralympics 2020.
Table Tennis: In her Paralympics debut, India’s Bhavinaben Patel competed with Chinese Miao Zhang in the semi-finals of Women’s Singles. She won the match by 3-2. With this, she becomes the first Indian to enter the finals of a table tennis event at the Paralympics. She will compete with Chinese Ying Zhou in the finals.
Archery: In the men’s individual compound open 1/16 elimination, India’s Rakesh Kumar played against Hong Kong’s Ka Chuen Ngai and won 144-131. He has advanced to the next round and would compete in the 1/8th elimination on 31st August. Unfortunately, India’s Shyam Sundar was defeated by American Matt Stutzman 139-142 in the same category.
