Sports News: Tokyo Paralympics 2020: Day 7

Tokyo, Aug 31: Athletes: Brazil’s Yeltsin Jacques created a new world record in the men’s 1500m T11.
Women’s 400m T12 was won by world’s fastest female Paralympian, Cuba’s Omara Durand. Women’s 1500m T11 Final, Mexico’s Mónica Olivia Rodríguez won gold and set a new world record. 

Discus throw: Brazil’s Elizabeth Rodrigues Gomes won the gold medal in the Women’s Discus F53 by setting a new world record.

Swimming: New Zealand’s Sophie Pascoe became a 10-time Paralympic champion, in women’s 100m freestyle S9.
Ukraine’s Maksym Krypak created a world record in the Men’s 100m Butterfly S10.
Shooting: Iran’s Sareh Javanmardi won the Paralympic pistol gold in shooting. India’s Singhraj Adana won Bronze Medal in the 10m Air pistol event.

Javelin: Iran’s Hashemiyeh Motaghian Moavi created a World record in women’s F56 seated javelin and secured a gold.
High Jump: USA’s Sam Grewe won gold. Mariyappan Thangavelu won silver, and Sharad Kumar clinched the bronze.
