Parma, May 24: 17-years-old America’s Coco Gauff defeated China’s Wang Qiang 6-1, 6-3 to win her second clay court WTA singles title in Parma.
She also won the WTA doubles title alongside Caty McNally against Daija Jurak (Croatia) and Andreja Klepac (Slovenia) 6- 3, 6-2 just a couple of hours later.
At 17 years 70 days old, she is the youngest player to win both singles and doubles title at an event since Maria Sharapova who won both the titles at Birmingham in 2004. She was 17 years and 55 days old then.
She won her first title at the Emilia-Romagna Open on Saturday.
