Paris (France), June 11: Novak Djokovic defeated Casper Ruud in games of 7-6, 6-3, 7-5 to win the Men’s Finals of the French Open. The tournament was held at Roland Garros Stadium, in Paris, France.
With this win, Djokovic has become the first player to win 23 grand slams.
He is now ranked as the World No.1 in the ATP Rankings. Casper Ruud is now ranked World No.4.
This is Djokovic’s third French Open title. Djokovic stunned Carlos Alcaraz 3-6, 7-5, 6-1, 6-1 in the semi-finals. Casper Ruud, from Norway, beat Alexander Zverev 6-3, 6-4, 6-0 to face Djokovic in the finals.
