Sports News: Skiing: FIS Alpine Ski Competition 2021

The FIS Alpine Ski Competition 2021 was held in Kolasin, Montenegro and organised by the ‘Fédération internationale de Ski’ (ENG: International Federation of Ski).


In the Giant Slalom event, India’s Aanchal Thakur won the bronze with a timing of 1:56.30.

Her timing in the first run was 56.38 and 57.92 in the second run. Croatian Dora Ljutic won the gold in the category with a timing of 1:50.61. Georgia Epiphaniou from Cyprus won the silver with a timing of 1:52.71.


Aanchal Thakur is the first Indian to win international medals in skiing. This is her second medal. Her first international medal was a bronze that she won at the FIS Alpine Edjer 3200 Cup at Turkey in 2018.
