Women’s hockey: Argentina defeated India 2-1 and Netherlands defeated Great Britain 5-1.
In women’s golf, Aditi Ashok (India) finished round 1 in second place.
In table tennis semi-finals, China defeated Germany 3-0(women’s event). In the men’s semis, China defeated the Republic of Korea 3-0, while Germany beat Japan 3-2.
In women’s boxing, Busenaz Surmeneli (Turkey) defeated bronze winner Lovlina Borgohain (India) 5-0.
Women’s wrestling quarterfinals, Iryna Kurachkina (Belarus) defeated Anshu Anshu (India) 8-2. In men’s wrestling, Ravi Kumar (India) beat Urbano Tigreros (Colombia) 13-2. He then went on to beat Georgi Valentinov Vangelov (Bulgaria) 14-4 (quarterfinals) and Nurislam Sanayev (Kazakhastan) (Victory by Fall). He will now play the finals. In the 86 kg category, Deepak Punia beat China’s Zushen Lin in the quarterfinal to reach the semis.
