Sports News: India win Asian Kabaddi Championship, Neeraj Chopa wins gold in Javelin, Jasleen Singh Saini wins gold at the Taipei Asian Open Judo

India saw some important wins on the same day.

First, the Indian kabaddi team won the Asian Kabaddi Championship. This is the 8th Asian win for India.

Next, Neeraj Chopra won the first place at the Diamond League twice this year, the most recent being yesterday (July 1).

Neeraj’s first throw was a foul, followed by 85.32m and 85.04m throws. After another foul, he achieved the winning throw, an 87.66m. He finished with an 84.15m throw. 2nd and 3rd places were Julian Weber (87.03m) and Jakub Vadlejch (86.13m). This is his 4th Diamond League title and his second in a row. 

On the same day, Jasleen Singh Saini also won gold at the Taipei Asian Open Judo Championship in the 66kg category. His image was tweeted by Sports Authority of India.
