Sports News: BWF World Championship 2021: Day 7 Update

Here is an update of day 7 at the BWF Championships.

In the semifinals of:


Women’s singles

Taiwan’s Tai Tzu-ying defeated China’s He Bing-jiao by 2-1 (21-17, 17-21, 21-14). In
another match between Japanese Akane Yamaguchi and Chinese Zhang Yi-man, Yamaguchi won by 2-0 (21-19, 21-19).


Mixed doubles

In the match between Thailand’s Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai and Hong Kong’s Tang Chun Man and Tse Ying Suet, the Thai duo won by 3-1 (15-21, 21-7, 21-10).

The other one was an all Japanese match, with Yuta Watanabe and Arisa Higashino defeating Kyohei Yamashita and Naru Shinoya by 2-0 (21-13, 21-8).


Women’s doubles

China’s Chen Qing Chen and Jia Yi Fan defeated Mayu Matsumoto and Wakana Nagahara by 2-0 (21-15, 21-12). In the second match, which was an all Korean clash, Lee Sohee and Shin
Seungchan defeated Kim Soyeong and Kong Heeyong by 2-0 (21-18, 21-17).


Men’s singles

In an all Indian clash, Kidambi Srikanth defeated Lakshya Sen by 2-1 (17-21, 21-14, 21-17).
