Bangkok, Jan 21: PV Sindhu enters the quarter finals by winning against Malaysian Kisona Selvaduray with scores 21- 10, 21-12. Sameer Verma won against Denmark’s Rasmus Gemke to make it to the quarter finals (21-12, 21-9).
In the men’s doubles, Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy are through to the quarter-finals after winning with scores 21-18 and 23-21 against South Korean Choi Sol-gyu and Seo Seung-jae. In the mixed doubles, Ashwini Ponappa and Satwiksairaj reached the quarter finals after winning against Germany’s Mark Lamsfuss and Isabel Herttrich with scores 22-20, 14-21, and 21-16.
