Poland, June 3: The World Para Athletics European Championships are happening at Bydgoszcz, Poland from June 1- 5, 2021. Sophie Hahn of Britain won the gold medal in 100 metres race; she clocked 12.58 ahead of Luka Ekler of Hungary and Margarita Goncharova of Russia. Seventeen-year-old Dutch sprinter Olivier Hendriks got his first gold medal in 100 metres. He clocked 11.41 and silver was won by another Dutch man Levi Vloet with 11.86. Italy’s Riccardo Cotilli got bronze with 11.87.
In shot put, Spain’s Kim Lopez took gold with a world record of 17.02m, Danyliuk got silver with 16.24m and Serbia’s Stefan Dimitrijevic won bronze with 12.91m.
