Largest Ever Government Funded Civil Contract
On Thursday, the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited signed a contract of 25,000 crore rupees with infrastructure giant Larsen & Turbo. This is for building a bullet train route and related infrastructure between Ahmadabad and Mumbai. This is the country’s largest-ever government-funded civil contract. This amount is awarded for the construction of 237 km of infrastructure in Gujarat. The train route will have 12 stations in the states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, and the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and will cover 348 kilometers in Gujarat, 156 km in Maharashtra, and 4.3 km in Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
