Bengaluru, Oct 31: Annual Public Affairs Index 2020, released by Public Affairs Centre (PAC) for states of India based on governance performance. The basis of ranking is made on composite index in the context of sustainable development defined by 3 pillars – Equity, Growth and Sustainability; 5 Themes; 13 SDGs and 50 indicators.
The states of southern India – Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka are the top four ranking states in large state category. Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Bihar were at the bottom in the list with negative points.
Goa led the small state category with Manipur being last in the list.
Chandigarh was way ahead of its counterparts in Union Territory category with Dadra and Nagar Haveli huffing and puffing in the end.
