The Central Zoo Authority (CZA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) announced the prestigious Prani Mitra Award 2020 on Monday, 5th Oct. The awards
were distributed in four categories.
Animal Keeper: Mr. Gurunath Narvekar VJB Udyan and Zoo, Mumbai
Biologist: Dr. Rajesh Kumar Mohapatra Nandakanan Zoological Park, Orissa
Veterinarian: Dr. Atul Gupta Van Vihar National Park & Zoo, Bhopal
Director/Curator Mrs S. Sudha, IFS, Arignar Anna Zoological Park, Chennai
The winners were felicitated in a special online ceremony chaired by Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Prakash Javadekar.
