The Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya, a museum on the Prime Ministers of India, has been inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi.

The museum illustrates India’s struggle for freedom, the making of the Constitution, and the lives of all the 14 Prime Ministers of India.

There are two blocks in the museum.

Block 1 is dedicated to India’s freedom struggle, the making of the Indian Constitution, and India’s first Prime Minister – Jawaharlal Nehru.

The second block is about all the 14 Indian Prime Ministers apart from Jawaharlal Nehru.

The whole Museum has an audio visual guide.

The logo of the Sangrahalaya is a Chakra that is held aloft by hands. It is a symbol of unity, patriotism, and democracy.

Information has been gathered about each Prime Minister through various sources like Doordarshan, Films Division, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of External Affairs, Sansad TV, foreign news channels, and Toshakhana (various gifts received by the Prime Ministers of India).

The ticket of the Museum, if bought online, costs Rs.100, but if the ticket is bought on the spot, it will cost Rs.110.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has bought the first ticket for the museum. Not a single tree has been cut down to make the museum.
