At 4-6 months of age, penguins become very curious. They want to explore their surroundings as much as possible. Throw intelligence into the mix, and we have a situation like the one in Budapest this week.
Sanyi, an African penguin, decided to explore the city all on his own.
He was found by officers, wrapped in a blanket, and returned to the zoo.
The zoo has, since then, installed cameras in the penguin coop and zoo officials are keeping a close eye.
The zoo also held an insta event this weekend, and Sanyi was the poster boy of the event.
