Nepalese climbers make history with winter summit of Mount K2

A team of 10 Nepalese climbers became a part of history by summiting Mount K2 in the Karakoram Ranges, that too in winter. Mount K2 stands tall at 8, 611 meters and is only 200 meters shorter than Mount Everest. Nicknamed as the ‘Savage Mountain’, Mount K2 is considered more dangerous than Everest due to its treacherous (unpredictable) weather.
