NASA’s Perseverance Rover shares new images of a hidden surface

Report by Hima Sutha

NASA’s Perseverance Rover is a machine designed to explore the Jezero Crater on Mars.

The Jezero Crater is a vast bowl-shaped hole that might have been caused due to an explosion on the planet or when another object such as a meteorite hit Mars.

The rover is a part of the Mars 2020 mission. NASA’s Perseverance Rover captured images of the Martian surface by drilling a hole using its robotic arms into the rock layers on the surface and collecting the samples. These samples will be brought to the earth for further investigation.
