All of us have gadgets and look for recommendations of the best apps to have on them. In 2020, TikTok was downloaded almost 850 million times globally. A ban in India did slow it down a bit. But four Facebook owned apps i.e., Whats App, Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram were also in the top six most downloaded apps and were installed around 2.05 billion times.
The other top apps were Zoom, Google Meet, Telegram, Netflix, You Tube. While most of the apps are common for IOS and Android, but their rankings are different. Lockdown due to the pandemic increased the downloads of all video-chat platforms tremendously.
In the gaming zone, PUBG grossed $1.1 billion, while Arena of Valor was just under a billion.
