New Delhi, July 19: The Monsoon Session of the Parliament began on Monday, 19th July 2021. Both the Houses of Parliament, the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha issued official statements commencing the sixth session of the 17th Lok Sabha (which was formed by the members elected in the 2019 Indian General Elections). The session would have 19 meetings and would most likely conclude on 13th August.
Around 31 key bills and government business items will be tabled in the session. Over 400 MPs (Member of Parliament) and over 200 staff members have been vaccinated ahead of the session. The session would be conducted under strict Covid norms.
