The Ministry of Defence released its review today. The highlights are:
- 8 Rafale aircraft inducted.
- 2. 1 warship and 1 submarine added to the Indian Navy.
- 3. Foreign Direct Investment limit in defence manufacturing under automatic route raised from 49% to 74%.
In addition to these, the three forces have also been engaged in:
- Humanitarian aid and relief work – both in India, and in other countries that asked for such support.
- Joint exercises with other countries, both in the Indian Ocean and in the air.
- Research, testing, and development of Indian equipment like missiles, light combat aircraft, etc.
