India’s First Miniature Solar-Power Train launched at Veli Tourist Village in Kerala and its Eco-friendly Too!
Kerala, Nov 5: First of its kind, a miniature train powered by solar energy, inaugurated at the Veli tourist Village in Thiruvananthapuram where Veli Lake meets the Arabian Ocean. This train system, fully equipped with all the features of a rail system – including a station, a tunnel, and a ticket office.
The Miniature Solar-Power train has three bogies that can accommodate around 45 people. It has an engine modelled like the vintage steam locomotive with artificial steam spouted from it. The station house, designed in traditional style. It covers a distance of 2.5 kilometers.
This eco-friendly mode of transport will be the star attraction for children visiting the place. It will enable all kind of visitors to enjoy the beauty of nature.
