Time to meet the amazing faculty of the first batch of The Children’s Post Young Journalist Program. The best teachers are about to teach our young stars, and we can’t wait!

Bhavna Vij

Bhavna Vij

Bhavna Vij has been a journalist for more than 27 years. She started her news career immediately after graduating from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, and has been a part of India’s journey ever since. She is currently the political editor of a national magazine. Her ability to take interviews with very senior leaders, and then to translate them into print is incredible. Her positive energy is infectious!

Bhavneet Singh Aurora

Bhavneet Singh Aurora

Bhavneet Singh Aurora is a senior journalist and Associate Professor at the Bennett University. He has over 17 years of experience in handling print and new media news, news operations, graphics, and design. His ability to see all sides but remain noncommital is as impressive as his sharp observation and incredible integrity.


Deepti Chhabra

Deepti Chhabra

Deepti is a parent, an editor, and a doctor, with a specialisation in Dentistry. She is the Wednesday editor of The Children’s Post of India and has been finding incredibly engaging news content for children for more than 3 years. In addition to being an inspirational professional, she is a wonderful, warm person who wears her intelligence very lightly.

Jalpa Shah

Jalpa is a Chartered Accountant by qualification and a content developer and editor by profession. At The Children’s Post, she is a reviewer and the star who translates English news to Hindi along with Amrita Agarwal.

Janaki Sabesh

Janaki Sabesh

Janaki Sabesh is a name that speaks for itself. A very popular actor, media professional, storyteller, facilitator, ideator, and author, she wears her many hats effortlessly, excelling at every single one of her chosen roles.
As an actor, her body of work spans films across all South Indian languages and several modelling assignments. She has worked with stalwarts like Aishwarya Rai, Kamal Hassan, Madhavan, Mani Ratnam, Rajiv Menon & Shankar, among others.

As a story teller, she collaborates with Tulika Books, Karadi Tales, and others, to take their stories to various audiences and events at schools, colleges, corporates, and Lit Fests. She has performed at the Bangalore Lit Fest, Bookaroo Lit Fest in Kohima, Delhi, Varanasi, The Hindu Lit Fest, Ooty Lit Fest, Vizag Junior Lit Fest, Kitaabo Lit fest in Jodhpur, Disha Lit fest, Kanpur, and many others.

As a successful voice-over artiste for cartoons, she has brought many characters to life and lent her voice to commercials and documentaries. Most recently, she has worked on a Spotify original podcast series – ‘Talking Tales from Tulika’.

She works with educators, and other professional networks on using effective story telling techniques in communication and marketing.
She also serves as faculty at the Chennai Business School.
Her sessions are highly interactive and a unique blend of narration, music, drama and movement. Janaki plays an active role in Chennai’s live performance community, experimenting with
monologues, stand-up comedy and theatre.

Kavita Neelakantan
Kavita Neelakantan is an alumna of IIM Ahmedabad. She has worked for over a decade on human processes, and now runs Kavyata – an organisation dedicated to helping people find their excellence. She is also a parent to a multi-faceted, talented young person. Her ability to draw people out, not just in front of a camera, but in front of a live audience, is incredible. The kind of interviews she takes require her interviewee to be completely at ease, and open. She is able to achieve that with remarkable skill and empathy. 

Nidhi Arora

Nidhi is the founder of The Children’s Post of India. When not working, she is found reading or exchanging wisecracks with her family. She loves all the bright young minds that she gets to meet because of TCP.

Pravar Mukkala

Pravar Mukkala

Pravar Mukkala lives near Boston in the United States and is in 9th grade. He is 13 years old and loves to read and write. Most of the time you can probably find him at home, reading a good book, baking some sweet treats, listening to music while doing school work, or watching something on Netflix or Disney+.

Priyanka Singh

Priyanka Singh

Priyanka Singh is an MBA in International Business and BSc (H) in Biotechnology.
Her experience includes 14 years in Marketing and Communications. Currently working as Marketing Manager in KVVS Wires and Cables. She has a penchant for Graphic Designing and her hobby is water colours (painting).

Rachna Sarah Thomas

Rachna Sarah Thomas

Rachna lives in Dubai ,UAE. She is a mom to two teenaged boys, and has been associated with The Children’s Post as a reviewer since March 2019. She is a professional in the retail industry in her day job.

Rishi Agrawal

Rishi Agarwal

By profession, Rishi is an entrepreneur and an alumni of IIM Calcutta. By passion, he is a traveller and a photographer. His work encompasses the entire range of photography – portraits, still life, wildlife, and landscape photography. In fact, his pictures defy categorisation and appear as stories unto themselves. Roopa Pai

Roopa Pai

Roopa Pai needs no introduction! A computer engineer, journalist, and a much loved author, she wears many hats, and all of them well. From Economics to the Upanishads, Roopa has covered it all in her books. Her wit is unmatched and her wisdom is profound.

Tisha Shrivastav

Tisha Shrivastav

Tisha Srivastav, is an Assistant Professor in Media Studies at Ashoka University. She received her Masters Degree in Global Media and Post-National Communication from School of Oriental & African Studies, University of London. She has been a practicing journalist for over 25 years. In her previous full time roles, she has headed the Video department for Yahoo India, been part of NDTV 24×7’s Documentary Features team as well as part of the award winning team for India’s first ever TV environmental features show, Living on the Edge.

She has also spent six years traveling across India, four of which were with another woman in a Maruti Van in the mid-1990s. She currently also serves as Director (in a non-payment role) on the Board of Dusty Foot Foundation, an organization committed to wildlife conservation and environmental field education, with programmes in 12 states of India.

Connecting the lesser known with the mainstream is an abiding interest in communication for her, as is a long time love of the Himalaya.

Vanitha Ananthan

Vanitha Ananthan

Vanitha is a powerhouse of positivity, thoroughness, and industry. She is a parent to two outstanding young ladies who are currently working in high end fields like Genetics and medicine, while she spends time with her husband – helping him in business and cultivation.

At The Children’s Post, she reviews, creates news, keeps our morale up as the wise senior colleague, and holds us (and herself) to high standards.
