Another Successful Mission
(Indian Space Research Organisation) successfully launched C-band Communication Satellite CMS-01 today using the launch vehicle, Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle PSLV-C5. It took off from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota at 3:41pm.
The PSLV-50 injected the CMS-01 communication satellite in the predefined orbit. It is the 42nd communication satellite of ISRO. It will replace the old GSAT-12 satellite. The estimated mission life is seven years. It will provide extended C-band (frequency range of 4-8 Gigahertz) frequency communications covering India, Andaman and Nicobar, and the Lakshadweep islands.
