The first match of the FIH Pro Hockey League was held on Saturday. The match was India against Belgium. The Indian men’s team won the match against Belgium 5-4.
Amongst all of the great players, the goalkeeper PR Sreejesh saved many goals in record time.
The first quarter ended in zero goals for either team.
In the second quarter, the Indian team just had 8 minutes on the clock and were down 1-3, but managed to bring it to a tie. This gave way to a penalty shootout. An attempt from Alexander Hendrickx was blocked out by Sreejesh and the shootout was tied 4-4. Finally, Akshadeep Singh scored the winning goal making it 5-4.
On the other hand in the women’s FIH Pro League Belgium won over India’s team, 2-0.
