The Indian Met Department has confirmed that many parts of India are going through a heat wave.
It has been a very hot April for India.
How do we know there is a heatwave?
IMD (Indian Met Department) issues heatwave advisory every day from 01 April to 30th June. This is done every year. The data is shared with other public services like National Disaster Relief, Indian Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, State Disaster Relief teams of the affected states, Road Transport Authorities (RTAs), etc.
We can also get this information from the website of the Indian Met Department.
