Happy New Year dear readers! What a wonderful start to the year 2021! One of our wishes was to have a mascot and a logo for The Children’s Post that represents our newspaper. This has been realised, and we are very happy to introduce our mascot, logo, and theme music. A few weeks back, we asked for entries for our mascot. Our young readers came up with wonderful ideas. We have selected the one that will be our mascot and another one which will be our logo.
Reader Amey Haldankar designed the mascot, who named Mr. Bow. Mr. Bow is a rainbow of colours symbolising the qualities of TCP. In Amey’s own words, “Yellow for creativity and happiness. Orange for fun and likeliness. Green for knowledge about nature. Blue for true knowledge and reliability. Red for passion. Black for intelligence”.
Our logo will represent us and it is designed by artist Aashi Pujara, who has expressed her thoughts on TCP into a beautiful symbol.
The description of the logo in Aashi’s own words: “I have made an image resembling [a] butterfly who is an ever-growing insect and is never afraid to explore with the help of [the] pencil as [its] main body that signifies might of knowledge. Both the wings [express] ideas/brain that signifies education/knowledge and creativity. Well, [the] wings spread all that is extracted through [the] pencil [just like] TCP does! […] spreads knowledge, inspires creativity without any negativities at all unlike other daily reads!”
Ananyaa Jagtap, Devika Reddy, Aditya Singh, Aashi Pujara, Manasvini B. Patel, Sarvesh Ajith were the other participants with beautiful entries.
Herewith we are also introducing the theme music for our newspaper, which has been composed by Angad Singh Arora.
