New Delhi June 1: This year, many exams have either been postponed or cancelled entirely. The most recent in this series is the Grade 12 Board exams by both the national boards of India – the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Indian Council of Secondary Education (ICSE).
Board exams are conducted directly by the educational board. The question paper comes from the Board, the students write the exam at a location that may or may not be their own school, and the papers are checked by anonymous teachers.
These board marks usually form the basis of college admissions. The Boards will announce an alternative way to assess a child’s ability soon. Both the Boards have to think and can arrive at independent decisions.
