Eiffel Tower glows Green

Paris, May 29: Hydrogen is the simplest and most abundant element on the earth. It is mostly combined with other elements to form compounds like water and hydrocarbons, from which it can be easily extracted.

Hydrogen gas is extracted from water by a technique known as electrolysis, which involves running a high electric current through water to separate hydrogen and oxygen atom. If the electricity comes from renewable energy like wind or solar or tidal energy, the hydrogen gas we get is green hydrogen. Despite being very high on energy, it causes no pollution. Since when consumed it emits only water vapour making it the fuel for a carbon free future.

Recently the iconic Eiffel Tower was illuminated green using electricity produced by green hydrogen. It was an attempt to popularize the use of green hydrogen as a sustainable energy source in the future.
