Earthquake in China’s Sichuan Province

According to the China Earthquake Networks Center, a 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck Luding County in the Sichuan Province at 12:52 p.m. Monday (Beijing Time).

About 50,000 people have been moved to safer locations after damage appeared in buildings where the quake happened.

The quake was at an estimated depth of 10 kms, according to USGS.
