The Delhi Book Fair will be held at Pragati Maidan from 29th July to 2nd August.
The fair is being organised by ITPO (India Trade Promotion Organisation) and FIP (Federation of Indian Publishers).
Books will be on display from 10 am to 6 pm on all days.
This is the 27th edition of the Delhi Book Fair. But we also have, at the same time, a Stationery Fair, a Corporate Gifts Fair, and Office Automation Fair (at the same venue). So, a visitor can enjoy all of these at one location.
What is a book fair?
At a book fair, book publishers display their books in temporary shops called stalls. Usually, attractive discounts are available on books.
People go to a Book Fair for various reasons:
A. To see a wide variety of books at a single place.
B. To know about the work of various publishers.
C. To buy their favourite books at discounts!
D. Book fairs are also attractive venues for new book launches. Many books are launched at a Book Fair.
E. There are other literary events like author interactions, book signings, meet-the-author, book discussions, poetry readings, etc.
