At the Commonwealth Games 2022, being held at Birmingham (UK), the highlights for the India team so far are:
All the medals won so far are in weightlifting.
A. The first medal for India was won by Sanket Sagar, who won the silver in the men’s 55kg category.
B. Next, Gururaja Poojary won the bronze in the men’s 61 kg category.
C. Mirabai Chanbu won the first gold for India – in the women’s 49 kg category.
D. Bindyarani Devi Sorokhaibam won the silver medal for India in the women’s 55kg category. She also created a personal best of lifting 202 kgs while winning this medal.

A. Squash: India’s Anahat Singh won her first match.
B. Swimming: Sri Hari Natraj is 7th in the semis of Men’s 100m freestyle and also stood 7th in the Finals.

D. The Indian women’s hockey team has won both its first matches.
