For the last month or so, China has been battling an aggressive strain of Covid.
Cases rose in Europe, US, and other countries.
The variant, called BF.7, was found in a patient in Baroda. This is the first known case of this variant in India. 3 more patients were found after that – 2 in Gujarat and 1 in Odisha. All 4 were isolated and have recovered.
Following this, the Government of India met yesterday and created a set of guidelines.
Masks and social distancing is recommended once again.
While individual state governments will release their own guidelines, this information is being shared with our readers proactively.
Incoming passengers from international flights will also be tested at random. Children under 12 will not be tested, but if they are displaying Covid symptoms, they might be isolated.
