Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and Om Prakash Soni take oath as Deputy CM

Chandigarh, Sep 20: 58-year-old former State Minister of Technical Education and Training, Charanjit Singh Channi succeeded Captain Amarinder Singh and took oath as the Chief Minister of Punjab on Monday, 20th September 2021. He was sworn-in by Governor Banwarilal Purohit and is now the 16th Chief Minister of Punjab.
Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and Om Prakash Soni also took oath as the two Deputy Chief Ministers of Punjab. Punjab’s Ex- CM, Captain Amarinder Singh resigned on 18th September 2021, 5 months ahead of the State Assembly poll. This was his second term in office.
