Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) is the governing body of cricket in India.
On Thursday, October 27, Jay Shah, the Secretary of BCCI communicated that male and female players playing international matches on behalf of the country will now be paid the same match fees.
The match fees for both men and women is:
Test Match: 15,00,000 INR
One Day Interational: 6,00,000 INR
T 20 Match: 3,00,000 INR
Before this, the fee paid to the female cricketers was:
Test Match: 4 lakhs (male players got 15 lakhs)
One Day International: 1 lakh (male players got 6 lakhs)
T 20: 1 lakh (male players got 3 lakhs)
