India, Jan 30: Uttar Pradesh’s tableau in Republic Day parade has been adjudged as the winner. It showed the replica of the Ram temple that will be constructed in Ayodhya and Sage Valmiki writing the Ramayana. Kiren Rijiju, Union state minister for youth affairs and sports handed over the winner’s trophy to Navneet Sehgal, additional chief secretary of information, in a ceremony in New Delhi, who then handed it over to Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister, UP. This is the second year in a row when UP has bagged a prize on Republic Day. They came second in the 2020 parade. The UP government would now bring the tableau to Lucknow from Delhi. While passing through various districts, it would be ceremoniously welcomed. CM Yogi Adityanath said that this was a moment of great pride and ecstasy for the state. Along with the replica of the temple, the tableau also displayed murals of Hanuman bringing Sanjeevani booti, Ashok Vatika, Ahalya’s salvation, etc. Deepotsav celebrations with diyas which created a world record was displayed on both sides of the tableau.
