Kenya

On the 9th of August 2022, elections were held in Kenya.

The elections were held for the third time since 2010 in Kenya.

Through these elections, citizens could vote for the members of the Assembly and Senate, county governors of Kenya and members of the county assemblies of Kenya.

In 2010, a new constitution introduced further modifications that addressed corruption, political advancements, land-grabbing (shift of power of the land illegally to others by fraud) and tribalism.

Dr. William Ruto won the Presidential elections by a margin of 1.64% over his rival Raila Odinga this
year. William Ruto secured 50.49% of the votes, while Raila Odinga secured 48.85%. William
Ruto was the deputy vice president of Kenya and has been in office since 2013.
